MOHAMMED SHAFIQUE 1 LEND WITH CARE

Here at Put It On A Pallet we like to do our bit to support others less fortunate than ourselves and we would like to give our customers some discount if they are willing to do the same.

We support the charity Care International who helps those most in need, mainly in war zones, refugee camps and after natural disasters

At http://www.lendwithcare.org you can lend money to the person of your choice by searching through the various entrepreneurs seeking funding. There are chicken farmers in Ecuador, rice growers in Vietnam, market sellers in Kenya and hundreds of other people all over the world seeking a small interest-free loan to help them support their families. They pay you all of the money back over 12-24 months and so it really doesn’t cost you anything but it changes their lives and the lives of their children.

We have helped two people so far. We wanted to help another transport provider so we lent money to Mohammed Shafique who drives a tuk-tuk in Karachi, all of his children go to school and their schooling expenses are around about 3,000 rupees a month. He is the sole wage earner for his family. He drives a rickshaw, earning 16,000 rupees per month (about £130). He bought his rickshaw on instalments and we helped him pay off his rickshaw quicker to save money on interest payment. Mohammed has paid us a little bit back every month for nearly a year and a half now and is almost fully repaid.

We then lent money to Teresa Mijas from a rural community just outside the small town of Cariamanga in southern Ecuador. She is a single mother and lives with her three children and makes a living from raising and selling pigs and chickens. One of her children has learning difficulties and needs care so Doña Teresa prefers to work from home. She requested a loan in order to buy piglets and buy materials to improve the area where the chickens are housed at night. She is now paying back small instalments over the next year.

If you feel like you could lend some money to someone in need, a loan of as little as £15 can make a massive difference and all of the money goes straight to the entrepreneur you select. They pay the money back and it goes back into your PayPal account.

We are offering £10 off the next pallet shipment to any of our customers who makes a microloan to anyone with Lend With Care.
